Welcome to the Mage Tower!

This website is the newest incarnation of a project I’ve been working on in some form or another since 2020. It began as a discord server to help organize a long-running game of D&D 5e, [Qvorryn], and wound up as a slightly larger server that I used to organize various local events, tabletop games, and discussions about my current fixations. My engagement with the server has waxed and waned over the years, but through all this time my vision for it – to be a small but active and engaged community of peers with common interests – hasn’t faded.

Discord’s recent policy change (requiring users to submit a facial ID scan to access certain content and servers) and the subsequent backlash, including a number of folks moving off of the platform entirely, has inspired me to create this alternative hub for the Mage Tower. I plan on keeping the discord server active, since that is where folks are most likely to engage with it anyways, but this place is to serve as a repository for the same sort of information. I’m also going to use this website to post some of my own essays and writings, for anyone interested in reading those.
